Para el 9º domingo después de Pentecostés

Año A (2016-17)

Señor, nos acercamos a este tiempo de oración con la confianza de que escuchas nuestras oraciones. Por vuestro Espíritu, capacitadnos a orar de acuerdo a vuestra voluntad para nuestras vidas, vuestra iglesia, vuestras comunidades, vuestra nación y vuestro mundo (Juan 5:14). Espíritu de Cristo, eres mi esperanza a través del día, eres mi guardia durante la noche, mi compañero en el camino. Cristo esté siempre delante de mí, Cristo esté siempre detrás de mí, Cristo esté siempre dentro de mí (El Cántico de San Patricio). Amén.

   Oremos para que la invitación abierta y mundial de Dios a la abundante fiesta de vida en Cristo sea proclamada convincentemente por las personas y congregaciones de la Iglesia Metodista Unida.

Jueves 3 de agosto de 2017 – Salmo 145: 8-9, 14-21

Oremos por los humillados por sus fallas y fracasos en la vida para empezar de nuevo a través de la bondad de la gracia de Dios, la misericordia y Su firme amor.

Viernes 4 de agosto de 2017 – Romanos 9: 1-5

   Ore por las congregaciones que se han alejado de su misión de sostener y proclamar su testimonio de las riquezas de Dios en Cristo al mundo.

Sábado, 5 de agosto de 2017 – Mateo 14: 13-14

   Oremos para que las enfermedades sociales en nuestro mundo revelen la necesidad y el deseo de sanación de Cristo.

Domingo, 6 de agosto de 2017 – Mateo 14: 15-21

 Oremos por los siervos de Cristo que experimentan fatiga de compasión en medio del mundo con tanta necesidad de las riquezas y promesas de Dios en Cristo.

Centering Prayer 

   LORD, we approach this time of prayer with confidence that you hear our prayers. By your Spirit, enable us to pray according to your will for our lives, your church, your communities, your nation, and your world (John 5:14). Spirit of Christ, be my hope through the day, be my guard through the night, my companion on the way. Christ be ever before me, Christ be ever behind me, Christ be ever within me (The Song of Saint Patrick). Amen.

   Pray for those in terrifying situations. 

Tuesday, August 1, 2017 – Psalm 17

   Pray for those that seek deliverance and justice from their adversaries. 

Wednesday, August 2, 2017 – Isaiah 55:1-5

   Pray that God’s open and worldwide invitation to the abundant feast of life in Christ will be compellingly proclaimed by the people and congregations of the United Methodist Church. 

Thursday, August 3, 2017 – Psalm 145:8-9, 14-21

   Pray for those humiliated by their fallings and failings in life to begin anew through the goodness of God’s grace, mercy, and steadfast love. 

Friday, August 4, 2017 – Romans 9:1-5

   Pray for congregations that have drifted away from their mission to uphold and proclaim their witness of God’s riches in Christ to the world . 

Saturday, August 5, 2017 – Matthew 14:13-14

   Pray that the social sicknesses in our world will reveal the need and desire for Christ’s healing.

Sunday, August 6, 2017 – Matthew 14:15-21

  Pray for the servants of Christ that experience compassion fatigue amidst the world with so much need for the riches and promises of God in Christ.
