Centering Prayer
LORD, hear my prayers; pay attention to my request, because you are faithful; answer me in your righteousness (Psalm 143:1). Spirit of Christ, be my hope through the day, be my guard through the night, my companion on the way. Christ be ever before me, Christ be ever behind me, Christ be ever within me (The Song of Saint Patrick). Amen.
Monday, July 17, 2017 – Genesis 28: 10-19a
Pray for those made vulnerable by their own doing to experience God’s goodness and mercy.
Tuesday, July 18, 2017 – Psalm 139:1-12, 23-24
Pray for that are running from or trying to hide from God to encounter God in ways that lead them on a way back to God.
Wednesday, July 19, 2017 – Wisdom of Solomon 12:13, 16-19
Pray for those who doubt the completeness of God’s power to experience new hope through God’s forgiveness and mild justice.
Thursday, July 20, 2017 – Isaiah 44:6-8
Pray for those that have not fully committed their lives to God as their redeemer and foundation of their being.
Friday, July 21, 2017 – Psalm 86:11-17
Pray for those persecuted for their devotion God to experience God’s comfort, mercy, saving grace, and favor.
Saturday, July 22, 2017 – Romans 8:12-25
Pray for the new and exploring Christians that are not yet assured of their hope or identity as a fellow heir with Christ and a beloved child of God.
Sunday, July 23, 2017 – Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43
Pray for those who in their eagerness to separate themselves from others cause more harm than good.
